Hi Everyone!
Recently, we have been invaded by a big and huge amount of information about the most important event of the month…or for the more fanatics, of the year. Perhaps it is one of the most exciting sport tournament on the last four years or is the simple fact of it is happening in one of the most distant country of Chile…I don’t know, but all of us (we…perhaps not all, but the great majority of the people, yes) have been infected by the “FIFA World Cup” fever…it’s a bit crazy, but where you see…you see football: posters in the city, the news on the TV, people talking about what country won at the last match or listen to the typical song “Waka waka”. Who haven’t listened that classic WAKA WAKA EH EH!!! All the people is dancing the song; on internet, on TV on South Africa (obviously) and even in the children in the school….EVERYONE!!!!
I must to recognize that when I listened to the Shakira’s song I didn’t like really much…but finally, since two weeks ago, I liked the song. However, the problem now is that everybody listens and listens and listens and listens the song and I don’t like it now. Today, we must to be patient and wait two weeks until World Cup finish. After, we will listen to another kind of artist or music, on Tv or radio, less repetitive than “Waka Waka”.

ReplyDeleteYou are right, today the whole world speak about this, and I too, when I came to the University the maind theme of conversation is the world cup!! Is only every 4 years, and there are the best players and the best teams from this time.
I dont like the voice from Shakira, I dont know why, buy I dont mind very much his voice when I see how she sings... (L)
I hope that the world champion would be a sudamerican team, Argentina is my candidate because they have 2 of the best players from the last 50 years... Messi and Maradona.

Hahaha I like the "waka waka" song actually, I think is a fun and happy song and remind me the big party of the FIFA world cup, the event of the year!

Hi Nelia. I neither like the Waka Waka song, but I think that the FIFA World Cup is really funny. It's amazing to see people from different countries playing soccer and there are a lot of very good players. I have noticed the difference of the 1998's FIFA World Cup and the actual World Cup and I think that I enjoyed it more when I was a child, and that I had more time for seeing soccer matchs.

ReplyDeleteYes, you have reason, all the world be like crazy with the football world cup and all sing WAKA WAKA, ahhhhh, I don´t heard the complete song but I think that is entertaining and that to people like it since all dance this song.
